The National Academies have a survey asking what matters most in science, technology and engineering.

Please take a few moments to fill in their survey and add metrication in the "suggest other topics" box.

And yes, thanks to [info][info]yellowpigs , I've seen the xkcd and I like it (apart from a few niggling errors).

"3L == 2-liter bottle" is ridiculously wrong (although some US soda bottles do come in 3L), and "110 kph == 65 mph" is slightly off. What else?

kph instead of km/h

A shot glass is 44mL (usually rounded up to 45mL instead of down to 40mL)

Soda cans are usually 375mL in metric countries.

Most men are more like 80kg than 70kg. (I'm about average height at 1.82m and I'm severely underweight at 70kg). According to National Center for Health Statistics it's 86kg.

That's all I see at first glance.

"Compared to my friends" no one asks me about technology. I have geeky friends.
